Here, Arabia’s ancient soul meditates amidst whitewashed villages and golden windswept dunes. Discover Muscat’s enchanting beauty and rich cultural heritage with its unique blend of modernity and tradition that captivates visitors.

This beautiful city has a character quite distinct from neighbouring Arabian capitals. With a rich and fascinating history dating back to antiquity, Muscat’s gentle nature, elegant tradition and signature Omani hospitality make it a delight to visit. A whimsically uniform collection of white-washed low-rise buildings trace the harbour, adorned with arabesque windows and punctuated by intricate domes, soaring minarets and flower-filled parkland. Locals generally observe traditional national dress – the dishdasha, grand mosques pepper the streets and 16th-century Portuguese forts keep watch from the rocky hills. DAY 15 Explore Jordan (Aqaba and Petra)

A fascinating land of vast desert scenery, captivating historical sites and pretty seaside resort towns, Jordan has been welcoming travellers for centuries. Dotted with Roman amphitheatres, Crusader castles and colourful Christian mosaics, the undisputed jewel in the crown of this quintessential Middle Eastern destination is the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, an incredible spectacle carved into the pink hued sandstone of a narrow desert valley back in 300 B. C.

Jordan’s exotic beachside town of Aqaba glories in an idyllic, sunny setting on the shores of the Red Sea, at the country’s southernmost tip. It has been an important trading port since 1500 BC and has some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world centred on the unspoiled coral reefs that hug the coast.

Perhaps experience the ancient city of Petra - one of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the world - half-built, half-carved into rock and surrounded by mountains riddled with passages and gorges. Dating back to 300 BC, it’s located between the Dead Sea and Red Sea. Known as “Rose City” and due to the pink sandstone cliffs it was hidden for centuries until it was rediscovered in 1812.

Maybe explore Wadi Rum, a dramatic valley cut into sandstone and granite with spectacular rock paintings, ancient graffiti and temples. Perhaps get the Mars-like red desert experience, including a traditional Bedouin tent.

DAY 16-17 Suez Canal (Transit)

Cruising Egypt’s celebrated triumph of engineering is an experience of a lifetime, the Suez Canal stretches some 163 kilometres to link the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and forms an integral part of the Silk Road that connects Europe with Asia. Admire the gorgeous canalside cities which speak to the former grandeur of Egypt’s belle époque era; their distinctive architecture rising up above the desert plains as canalside life unfolds at a peaceful pace.

For two days, admire the spectacular scenery while sailing along the sea-level waterway. To the west of the Suez Canal is the Nile Delta, awash in foliage, while to the east you’ll see the arid landscape of the Sinai Peninsula. At just 300m width at its narrowest point, the Suez Canal serves as a two-way water transportation route, with almost 8 per cent of the total world's shipping transiting the Suez Canal.

Israel is a sacred land endowed with many of the most revered ancient Holy sites - yet is one of the most dynamic modern countries in the world. And for such a small nation it has a remarkable concentration of abundant riches, from the cherished religious landmarks and well-preserved archaeological treasures to spectacular natural wonders. The Holy Land is where biblical names like Jerusalem and the Galilee come vibrantly alive. This Middle Eastern nation has vibrant modern cities, breathtaking natural beauty, cool mountain waterfalls, sweeping desert landscapes, the super-buoyant Dead Sea, vast valleys and canyons along with picture perfect wineries.

Haifa is the gateway to discover the splendour of Israel’s cities like Tel Aviv as well as places of pilgrimage like Jerusalem's Old City and Bethlehem.

Visiting some of the most significant and moving sites in the world such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Holy City will open up a world of ancient tales and faith-driven worshippers. Mykonos boasts brilliant beaches, dazzling whitewashed villages and its instantly recognisable 16th century Venetian windmills. Its chic bars and fashionable restaurants in the south attract an upscale, stylish, globe-trotting crowd. Messina greets you with true Sicilian hues glowing golden against the glistening Ionian Sea and its sweeping boulevards of ornate turn-of-the-century buildings. Explore the nearby stunning coastal towns and villages, like trendy Taormina, and the famed active volcano of Mount Etna. Immerse yourself in the Sicilian culture, natural beauty and ancient historical sites.

Founded by the Greeks, this thriving town also exudes the influences of Roman, Byzantine and Arab empires. See the typical local felucas boats going up and down the Strait catching massive swordfish.
