DAY 1 Welcome to Uluru Ayers Rock

Feel the magic of the Red Centre as you fly into Ayers Rock today. You will be transferred from Ayers Rock Airport to your hotel. Relax and spend the rest of the day making use of the hotels facilities or take a short stroll around Ayers Rock Resort.

DAY 2 Uluru Ayers Rock Sunset Tour & Bush Yarn Experience

This morning, visit the “Circle of Sand” at Ayers Rock Resort. Learn about Aboriginal history and culture by an Indigenous storyteller. Learn about traditional bush tucker or an Indigenous man’s survival kit including weapons such as spears, clubs and boomerangs.

This afternoon, spend time relaxing before you get ready for your special Uluru sunset tour. You will be picked up from Ayers Rock Reort and taken to iconic Uluru for a special 5 hour experience. Enjoy a drive around the base of Uluru and visit Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent channel of water within the contours of this icon. Enjoy sparkling wine and gourmet treats while you take in the majesty of a sunset at Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the backdrop. Later you will be transferred back to Ayers Rock Resort.

DAY 3 Kata Tjuta Olgas Sunrise Tour, Museum Tour & “Field of Light” VIP Pass

Enjoy an early pick up this morning and travel into the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view a spectacular sunrise over the 36 domes that comprise Kata Tjuta or “The Olgas”. Enjoy an outback picnic breakfast on the Western side of Kata Tjuta before continuing to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind that whistles between the massive domes of Kata Tjuta. Learn about the cultural significance of this sacred site before taking a stroll through this geological formation and learning about the environment that shaped this massive conglomerate of rock domes. Following this special 5 hour experience you will be transferred back to Ayers Rock Resort.

This afternoon enjoy a short tour of the Wintjiri Museum and learn about the region’s unique ecology and fauna endemic to the region. Learn about the Anangu land conservation and management processes before getting a brief historical overview of the area, dating back 30,000 years from Aboriginal habitation to the settlement of early European explorers.

This evening, get ready for a once in a lifetime opportunity. The world renowned “Field of Lights” installation is artist Bruce Munro’s largest creation to date and features 50,000 slender stems topped with radiant frosted glass spheres spread over an area of seven football fields in the foreground of Uluru.

Get picked up from Ayers Rock Resort and transferred to a remote desert location for your VIP “Field of Light” experience. Enjoy special VIP access and a range of outback canapés, sparkling wine and beers while you watch the colours change as the sun sets and the stems illuminate and your host provides you an insight into this magnificent art piece. Experience a 45 minute self-guided walk through this immense piece of art before ascending a dune to get a panoramic view of this world famous installation. Later, you will be returned to your Ayers Rock Resort for the night.

DAY 4 Sunrise Camel Ride & Special “Sounds of Silence” Dinner

This morning, get picked up from Ayers Rock Resort and enjoy a sunrise camel ride through the desert landscape. Learn about the flora and fauna of the region from your experienced cameleer. After your hour long camel ride enjoy freshly baked beer bread damper with quandong jam and billy tea or coffee.

Wander through the fully working saddlery where all of the camel saddles are handmade. Discover 130 years of history surrounding camels and the Afghan cameleers and their pivotal role in opening up the outback in the ‘Staging Post’, including a fully restored Cobb and Co stagecoach. See the camel race track, home of the Uluru Camel Cup and trophies won from all over Australia. Meet the outback cameleers, hear their stories and most importantly fall in love with the “rock” star camels. You will leave with lifelong memories of the outback and have a new found respect for camels.

Enjoy a free afternoon before getting ready for your special “Sounds of Silence” dinner. Inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame, this dinner offers a truly magical 4 hour experience.

DAY 5 Tour from Uluru Ayers Rock to Alice Springs

This afternoon, get picked up from Ayers Rock Resort and tour north to Alice Springs. Learn about the landmarks and history along the way from your informative guide. Take in views of Atila (Mt Conner), a flat topped mountain rising over 300 metres that is often mistaken for Uluru. Arrive in Alice Springs this evening and be dropped at your central Alice Springs hotel.

DAY 6 Alice Springs Town Tour

Enjoy our 4.5 hour luxury coach tour with great informative commentary from our experienced local guide. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service (headquarters of the globally respected medical service providing a critical link to remote communities throughout the Northern Territory), Historic Telegraph Station (site of the first European settlement in Alice Springs, established in 1872 to relay messages between Darwin and Adelaide), School of the Air (provides education to primary school aged children living on remote properties throughout the Northern Territory since 1951), Anzac Hill (dedicated as a war memorial to honour those that fallen in Australia’s wars) and Alice Springs Reptile Centre (amazing NT animals like, saltwater crocodiles, huge goannas, frill-neck lizards and Gecko Cave). You will also get a great orientation of thriving Alice Springs, touring through the town and seeing the other main attractions such as the Cultural Precinct, National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame, Road Transport Hall of Fame, Old Ghan Train Museum, Olive Pink Botanic Gardens and Todd Mall.

DAY 7 West MacDonnell Range Luxury Coach Tour

Today explore the iconic West MacDonnell Ranges that form the dramatic ochre red back-drop to Alice Springs, including Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek, Big Hole, Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen Gorge. This amazing Central Australian geological feature has many hidden treasures for you to discover.

Travel west on Larapinta Drive, passing the John Flynn Memorial (foot of the Mt Gillen), see what remains of the twin ghost gums (famous painting by Albert Namatjira), stop at Standley Chasm (amazing red cleft that glows) for a delicious morning tea, perhaps walk into the Chasm (Angkerle Creek bed). Stop at Ellery Creek Big Hole (optional short walk to the cool waterhole), visit the Ochre Pits and Glen Helen Gorge (semi permanent waterhole) before your scrumptious lunch (with beer, wine or soft drink). Experience Ormiston Gorge and waterhole, with time to enjoy the refreshing waterhole (perhaps have a well deserved swim). Visit Simpsons Gap, all the time spotting for the amazing wildlife such as eagles, kites and falcons (soaring above the range on warm currents) as well as black footed rock wallabies and desert lizards.
