DAY 1 Welcome to Darwin

When you arrive into Darwin you can sense the cosmopolitan and thriving atmosphere of this historic tropical North Australian city. You will be personally met at the airport by a DISCOVER AUSTRALIA representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps take a stroll around the neighbourhood and central Darwin.

DAY 2 Darwin City Tour

Enjoy a leisurely start to your day today before your fascinating 4 hour guided tour of Darwin's rich culture and history.

Your friendly local driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the on-board full commentary. Enjoy the colourful sights of our unique city, take in the devastation of Cyclone Tracy, marvel at the majesty of Darwin Harbour, tour through the World War II Oil Storage Tunnels (engineering feat built to protect Darwin's oil supplies from the Japanese, now also houses a collection of Allied wartime photographs), see Sweetheart (famous 5.1m crocodile responsible for a series of attacks on boats) at the NT Museum and Art Gallery, and see Historical Palmerston Town, Parliament House, Military Museum, Darwin Waterfront, Darwin Botanic Gardens, Fannie Bay Gaol, Botanical Gardens, the Qantas Hanger and much more.

Enjoy time to relax this evening and spend time exploring the vibrant city of Darwin at your own pace. If you happen to be in Darwin on a Thursday or Sunday between April and October be sure to visit the famous Mindil Markets, which are famous for its food and colourful arts and crafts.

DAY 3 Kakadu Luxury Day Tour & Cruise

World Heritage-Listed Kakadu is internationally famous for very good reason. Experience Australia's biggest national park - with its dramatic escarpments, tropical rainforest, lush wetlands, millions of migratory birds, thundering waterfalls, sparkling waterholes, delicate waterlilies, prehistoric crocodiles, rock art galleries (up to 50,000 years old) and traditional Aboriginal owners, the happy and proud Bininj/Mungguy people. Kakadu is a tapestry of treasures waiting to be explored with six (6) dramatically different seasons.

This morning skirt Francis Bay on Darwin Harbour, head out on Tiger Brennan Drive and see Berrimah Naval Defence Base, Darwin suburb of Palmerston, spot for massive road-trains, head east on the Arnhem Highway, pass through Humpty Doo, cross the Marrakai Wetlands and Adelaide River. See the Top End outback bush, eucalypts, palms and termite mounds. At Kakadu National Park on the South Alligator River, take a short guided walk to Nourlangie Rock to see ancient Aboriginal rock art (optional but included in the price), enjoy a tropical buffet lunch (cold meats, salad and fruit), take a 1.5 hour guided cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, spotting for crocodiles, brolgas, magpie geese and kites. Take in the serenity and beauty that nature gifts in the Kakadu wetlands and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn the stories and traditional ways of the beautiful Aboriginal people of Kakadu. Head back into Darwin after a full day of discovery and wonderful experiences to treasure. DAY 4 Jumping Crocodiles Luxury Day Tour & Cruise

Enjoy some free-time this morning to explore Darwin before you set off for an exciting afternoon.

Travel inland to cruise a section of the Adelaide River and witness saltwater crocodiles close up as they leap out of the water to snatch their food. The Adelaide River starts in Litchfield National Park and is well known for its high concentration of saltwater crocodiles, along with other wildlife including white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, freshwater crocodiles, bull sharks and black flying-fox. An excellent opportunity to observe these primeval creatures as you cruise along the Adelaide River.

Today you will cruise the Adelaide River in crocodile infested waters, watch as your guide entices massive wild saltwater crocodiles to jump and snatch their food (witnessing crocodiles up close). Experience the ultimate thrill as these magnificent creatures leap out of the water with sheer power and grace - creating a profound sense of excitement and awe that will stay with you forever.

Visit the Wetland View Top & Information Centre (educational display with sweeping views over the wetlands from the top deck). Today is an amazing adventure.
