Today is the first full day of our epic voyage along Norway’s breathtaking coastline. From the comfort of our elegant ship, soak up the magical scenery with every nautical mile unfurling a symphony of breathtaking fjords, picturesque coastal villages, and majestic Arctic landscapes. After an overnight stop at Florø, we also cruise into Måløy and Torvik this morning with enough time to admire these alluring towns from our ship. A coastal gem at the entrance of the majestic Nordfjord, Måløy weaves a tale of maritime heritage amid a backdrop of rugged cliffs and crystalline waters, where the echo of sea birds blends with the melody of waves, creating a picturesque harmony that captures the essence of Norway's coastal allure. The enchantingly scenic port of Torvik is a quintessential Norwegian harbour - where weathered fishing boats tell tales of seafaring adventures, and the coastal breeze reflects the authentic charm of this coastal haven.

From here we cruise on to our major port for the day. Alesund is home to one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, Hjørundfjord - etched deep into the Sunnmøre Alps. This charm filled port town flaunts an astounding legacy of art nouveau architecture with whimsical folkloric and Viking flourishes. Nestled atop a peninsula between two bright blue fjords - today you will find yourself plunged into the intriguing fairytale atmosphere of Alesund – where winding streets are painted with pastel coloured facades and topped with turrets, spires, gables and dragon heads as the smell of fresh seafood fills the air. Ålesund serves as a gateway to outdoor adventures, from hiking to kayaking. Whether absorbing the maritime atmosphere along the scenic waterfront or climbing to panoramic viewpoints for breathtaking vistas, Ålesund invites you to experience a captivating blend of cultural richness and natural splendour in one of Norway's most enchanting coastal destinations.

Perhaps begin by exploring the historic district, known for its Art Nouveau architecture. Wander through cobblestone streets lined with charming pastel-hued buildings adorned with intricate details. Maybe admire the magical town of Ålesund from above by climbing up 418 steps to the panoramic heights of Mount Aksla with a view of the picture perfect islands that surround the town and marvel at the Sunnmøre Alps. Or perhaps visit the amazing Atlantic Sea-Park - one of Scandinavia’s largest aquariums - home to one of the most extensive seawater tanks in Europe. Here, you can also admire the depths of the spectacular Storfjord, enjoy an entertaining diving show, watch seals and otters being fed and be astounded by the 4,000,000-litre Great Atlantic tank. You could explore the town's museums, take a mesmerising boat trip to the nearby Geirangerfjord – an astounding World Heritage protected site or experience Ålesund from the water on a kayaking excursion amidst its Art Nouveau waterfront architecture.

Complete your day by diving into the wonderful world of Norwegian cuisine filled with a vast array of freshly caught seafood, distinct buttery flavours and warm your soul with a bowl of delicious Norwegian fish soup before rejoining the ship – with a brief stop at Molde later in the night.

Nidaros Cathedral, nicknamed “Norway’s Notre Dame” for its Gothic style, is known as Norway’s national sanctuary – its soaring spires stand as a testament to the city's significance as a pilgrimage destination. Perhaps stroll across the Old Town Bridge where the cobbled streets of Bakklandet await and colourful wooden wharves propped up on stilts by the river’s edge now house a variety of eateries in pastel painted wooden houses – a picture perfect setting. With the tranquil waters of Trondheim Fjord reflecting the city's beauty up to the heavens and the stunning Nidarosdomen providing a spiritual backdrop, Trondheim invites you to embrace the cultural tapestry of Norway's third-largest city.

Spend a magical morning in port exploring this Norwegian gem. Perhaps ascend to Kristiansten Fort for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its spectacular fjord, marvel at the Gothic splendour of the famed Nidaros Cathedral or explore the adjacent Archbishop's Palace, showcasing Norway's crown jewels. You could join an exhilarating Kayaking excursion along the glistening River Nid – or pedal through the city’s scenic routes by bike while enjoying the crisp fresh air. Today, we cross into the Arctic Circle to begin our Arctic adventure - marked with a traditional ceremony that’s sure to wake you up. In the soul-stirring Norwegian Arctic, nature's symphony unfolds in breathtaking panoramas. As we cruise through Arctic waters, witness the ethereal dance of the Northern Lights in winter painting the sky in hues of emerald and violet or bathe in the mystical midnight sun during summer. Feel the primal beauty of ancient glaciers and dramatic fjords weaving tales of time untold. Be immersed in the majestic grandeur of an untouched wilderness, where every icy breath of the crisp Arctic air whispers secrets of a land bathed in eternal serenity.

After overnight and early morning stops in Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen and Nesna, we dock briefly at Ørnes. During the summer months, you may choose to disembark here and take an optional excursion to the breathtaking Svartisen Glacier, meeting the ship later in the day at Bodø. Witness the majestic ice formations glistening under the Arctic sun, instilling a sense of awe and wonder as you gaze upon nature's crystalline masterpiece.

Next we cruise into Bodø - enchanting us with its dramatic landscapes and Northern Norwegian charm. The city's iconic red-and-white Saltstraumen Bridge spans the planet’s strongest tidal current, creating the world’s most powerful maelstrom (whirlpool). With the midnight sun casting a golden glow over Mount Ronvikfjellet and its coastal surroundings in summer, Bodø becomes a surreal canvas of Arctic beauty.

Perhaps visit the modern marvel that is Bodø Cathedral - a striking modern structure that stands as one of the city's architectural icons, venture to the Norwegian Aviation Museum, take in the fabulous street art or simply stroll along the scenic waterfront and indulge in some local cuisine at one of the charming cafes lining the streets. Alternatively, you could tour to Saltstraumen to see the world’s most powerful maelstrom and revel in the region's stunning natural beauty.

This afternoon we cruise into the Lofoten archipelago, the magnificent 1,000-metre-high Lofoten Wall towering proudly on the horizon, extending a grand welcome. In Stamsund we witness one of the archipelago's bustling hubs, hosting a vibrant fishing fleet welcoming the Arctic cod or skrei on their annual migration. Admire the town from the ship or disembark to join an optional excursion touring the Lofotens to rejoin the ship at the next port. As evening descends - we catch sight of the iconic fisherman's huts on stilts - the rorbuer - nestled along the shoreline of the charming harbor of Svolvær - our final stop for the day. The heart of the captivating Lofoten Islands - admire Svolvær’s towering peaks and brightly painted houses from the ship’s deck as we get ready to set sail for the night.

Today we discover more of the magnificent coastline of Norway with a number of ports on our itinerary. After brief overnight stops at Stokmarknes, Sortland and Risøyhamn, we cruise into Harstad this morning with just enough time in port to enjoy a brief morning stroll around the town. Harstad is a coastal jewel cradled by fjords and resonating with a quiet beauty that reflects both the resilience of its historic architecture and the serenity of its coastal landscapes. Perhaps wander through its charming streets or soak up the peaceful Arctic ambiance from the ship over breakfast. From here we glide towards Finnsnes, gateway to the enchanting island of Senja linked by the awe-inspiring Gisund Bridge. Today we explore Norway’s northern frontier via a short night stop at Øksfjord and a brief early morning dock in the port of Hammerfest on the island of Kvaløya. In summer, the island has herds of reindeer migrating here in their thousands. Early risers can enjoy views of this quaint township from the ship before cruising on to Havøysund. Admire the rugged coastline radiating out from the town’s quaint skyline perched at the edge of the Arctic Ocean - harmonising with the silhouettes of fishing boats bobbing in the harbour.

We have the opportunity to disembark in thriving Honningsvåg today. One of Norway's northernmost towns, Honningsvåg beckons with Arctic adventure, rugged landscapes and a resilient spirit. Gateway to the North Cape - the northernmost point of continental Europe - the town is bathed in the soft hues of the midnight sun during the summer months, creating a surreal ambiance. The iconic Nordkapp Plateau, jutting dramatically into the Arctic Ocean - offering intoxicating views. Our next port of call is the birthplace of Hurtigruten - Stokmarknes - where Captain Richard With began The Coastal Express in 1893. Legend has it that seven beautiful troll princesses, fleeing an unwanted suitor, got caught out as the sun rose, turning them into the seven beautiful mountains you see today. Breathe in the coastal simplicity of this charming town from the deck of the ship, before we cruise onward, crossing the Arctic Circle. Commemorate the moment with a tradition of tasting a spoonful of good ol’ Norwegian cod liver oil. Perhaps unveil the secrets of the spectacular Nidaros Cathedral on a guided tour, visit the Ringve Museum of Musical History or you could simply relax in your favourite fjord adjacent eatery and indulge in the local cuisine featuring game, lamb, seafood and berries.

Departing Trondheim this morning, we enjoy a full day of scenic cruising where each moment welcomes a masterpiece of coastal wonders. As the ship glides through the shimmering waters, you'll witness the dramatic landscapes of Norway before you—majestic fjords, rugged coastlines and quaint fishing villages that cling to the shores.
