DAY 4 Rome to Pisa to Tuscany

Today we travel to the spectacular Tuscany region. From ever enchanting Florence to the olive groves and vineyards of Chianti, Tuscany is the essence of old Italy. Birthplace of Renaissance art and architecture and famous for its olive oil, wine and artisan pasta, its lyrical landscapes will leave you mesmerized. Golden wheat fields, silver olive groves and undulating vineyards adorn the hillsides and valleys, as medieval hilltop villages soar up from amidst the cypress trees.

Our Italian interlude unfolds with an indulgent Tuscan wine tasting experience - where ancient vineyards whisper tales of sun-soaked Sangiovese and other renowned varieties nurtured by the fertile Tuscan soil. This morning we make our way to Tuscany’s mesmerizing capital of Florence for an immersive walking tour with our local guide. It’s the cradle of the Renaissance culture, it’s romantic, enchanting and completely irresistible. Learn about the legacy of the Medicis and see the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, featuring Michelangelo’s ‘David’. See the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Ponte Vecchio.
